General Backup Services Questions

This is a CHroot Jailed shell; this is not a VPS server, but a jailed shell inside a bare-metal server. As such, not all commands are available at all times. Below is a list of default available commands for all users. If you want a command that is not listed, please open a support ticket to request it. All binaries available to you are in your personal bin folder. Please check there first before opening a ticket to say something isn't available!

To check your available space login via SSH and you will be presented with your partition size, space available, and usage. We do not provide any ZFS tools for users to use, no exceptions; this is for the security of the box.

DO NOT delete your bin or etc folders, this will break your user!

When you login via SSH you are already in your root/home directory for your user; there is no other directory. This directory acts as your personal root Linux directory, as well as your home directory. If you want any directory below your root you can create that directory yourself there.

Default Commands: sh, bash, ssh, scp, rsync, sftp, ls, mkdir, cd, echo, gpg, rm, screen, crontab, du, ftp, nano, git, tar, chmod, vim, vi, mv, cp, zip, unzip, wget, curl, cat, sftp-server

This is NOT an exhaustive list; any built-in SH or BASH command is available as well.

Again, this is a jailed bash shell, this is not a VPS where you leave it running tasks! We do not permit mounting your space on a VPS somewhere for regular file system type file access; this is for transfer to/from for backups only, not a filesystem.

Our default skeleton directory contains basic system files and configs, no SSH preset configs for your users, no keys, etc. It is up to you to configure your environment for your usage!
