Getting Started with Server Monitoring

Monitoring your servers is quick and easy.

Setting up your alert contacts

  • First, login to our Client Area
  • From the toolbar menu, click Server Monitoring -> Alert Contacts
  • Click Add New Alert Contact
  • Enter in the contacts name and email address, if you have purchased SMS credits you can also enter in your cell phone number.
  • After you click save, you will be able to enter in additional email addresses and cell phone numbers on the next screen.
  • Everytime you click save to add a new email and/or cell phone number a new line will appear to add a new contact method.
Setting up your notification lists
  1. First, login to our Client Area
  2. From the toolbar menu, click Server Monitoring -> Notification Lists
  3. Click Add New Notification List
  4. Enter in a name for your notification list, it can be anything you would like
  5. On the next screen, select the contact to add from the drop down box and click save
  6. Next, you can change the Send First Aler, Repeat, Max Alerts per Failure, Recovery Alert for this contact and click save
  7. You can also add addition contacts by selecting them from the drop down list.
Setting up your checks
  1. First, login to our Client Area
  2. From the toolbar menu, click Server Monitoring -> Checks
  3. Click Add New Check
  4. From this screen you will be able to enter in the hostname/url of the server to check and what service you would like to check
  5. Be sure to select a notification list from the notification list drop down. This list will be used in the event of a failure of the check.
